The first year of the Hobby Model Show model exhibition and competition is behind us. I would like to thank those who participated as competitors or as spectators on behalf of the entire organizing team for their participation and the pleasant atmosphere. The exhibition exceeded our expectations. We hear and read positive reviews from all sides, for which we are very happy. It gives us energy and encourages us to keep trying. At the same time, we are aware of certain shortcomings that we want to focus on and eliminate.
We don't have exact numbers of visitors, since the entrance fee was free, so we didn't record people, but I can say that the hall was always full.
There were 743 competing models, which is a very nice number for the first year.
There were 128 non-competitive models presented by various modeling clubs.
The total number hovered around 900 models!!!
At first, my colleagues and I were a little worried about whether we would fit in, but in the end we managed it. By the second years, we already have plans to expand the exhibition tables, so no worries :)
Now my personal plan, which was to attract civil engineering modellers, i.e. cars, motorbikes, trucks...
From the beginning, I tried to create the best possible conditions for these modelers together with my colleague Peter Gál and Jan Merhaut. I think we succeeded, as evidenced by the tables filled with these models. In total, there were 157 competing models in categories A1 - A11. Plus there were approximately 90 non-competitive club models of civil engineering. In total, more than 247 models of civil engineering were gathered. This number does not include models from Pupils and Juniors.
We are excited about this number and in the future you can expect the same approach and maybe push it even further.
A big thank you goes to the village of Borský Mikuláš, which provided us with beautiful spaces and accommodated us in everything. Next, ZŠ Borský Mikuláš, which helped us a lot with the sound system, video transmissions during the workshop...
To the companies that helped us in various ways - Slovakiaring, Kovošrot Vashin, Hurban trade, EASTmodels.sk, Inn Wood, CORFIX DISTRIBUTION s.r.o. ...
We also want to thank the sellers who believed in us and came to participate.
