HOBBY MODEL SHOW 2024 - thanks

It took a while, but I finally managed to put together a summary of the exhibition. We believe that the second year is successfully behind us. We, as the modeling club KPM Hobby model, are very satisfied with the result and we want to thank all the participants for coming to support us, either as exhibitors or visitors. Exhibitors from the following countries participated in the second year: Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Germany, Ukraine. We did not even dream of such international participation in the beginning of our competition. We are very grateful for this and it gives us the energy to move forward. The weather was kind to us again, so we could use the entire area of KD Borský Mikuláš. We would like to thank the village of Borský Mikuláš for the opportunity to organize a model exhibition in these wonderful premises.

Our vision for the future.

First of all, we worked on a fixed annual deadline. We appreciate the surrounding clubs and modeling enthusiasts who organize competitions and because of this we decided that the HOBBY MODEL SHOW will be organized every year on the last Saturday of August. So the date of the third year will be August 30, 2025. We believe that by this date we will avoid as many modeling competitions as possible.

The direction in the field of civil technology and its representation at the competition is personally very satisfying for me, and we will certainly continue to support these categories in the future. A big thank you goes to my colleagues Petr Gál and Jan Merhaut, who are directly involved in the functioning of this part of the competition.

Furthermore, we want to assure all modelers who are not involved in civil engineering that the HOBBY MODEL SHOW will not only be about this type of modeling and we plan to make the categories of aircraft and military equipment more attractive by the third year.

The pupil and junior categories will remain unchanged, with a total of 14 competition categories to support young modelers.

During the exhibition, visitors could shop at the participating vendors and refresh themselves with tasty goulash, gypsy roast or admire the exhibition of historical uniforms and weapons provided by KVH Kuklov.

The program also included two workshops that took place in the cinema. These workshops were possible thanks to the support of two excellent modelers: Ján Moravčík and Jan Merhaut. Thanks guys.

Mr. Miloslav Chladil from the channel  Plastic modeling recorded the workshops for modelers who could not attend for which we thank him very much.

Record from Ján Moravčík's workshop on the topic - ATOM Ammo MIG colors

The recording from Jan Merhaut's workshop on the topic - working with MRP colors will be added later.

A big thank you to the municipality of Borský Mikuláš, which provided us with beautiful spaces and accommodated us in everything. Furthermore, ZŠ Borský Mikuláš, the internet portal EASTmodels.sk, the town of Šaštín-Stráže...

To the companies that helped us in various ways - Alpha model, 3D tlac.xyz, CORFIX DISTRIBUTION s.r.o., RS models, Slovakiaring, Eduard, Shark.Aero, Hurban trade, Airmastr and others...

We also want to thank the sellers who gathered at this year's 15.
