Modeling course

In the school year 2019/2020, I organized a modeling course together with the Borský Mikuláš primary school. The course was designed for children I. and II. grade of primary school in the village Borský Mikuláš.

The course was attended by 6 children, mostly without previous experience with building models.

Course and plan of teaching in the school year 2019/2020:

We met every week for two hours in the workshops of the Borský Mikuláš primary school. Unfortunately, the first year unexpectedly cut COVID-19 in half. During the lessons, each student managed to build several models, and I tried to make the students gradually master the reading of the plan and orientation in the kit. I also tried to make the students master the basic painting with a brush and gluing decals. We used Revell Aqua Color for coloring. Sometimes it was a fight but we always managed it.

The students were looking forward to the modeling lessons. Sometimes they didn't even want to go home :)

During the year 2019/2020, I planned to gradually explain to the students and to try to paint the models with the airbrush technique, unfortunately we did not manage to do it due to the mentioned COVID-19 disease.

Plans for the future:

In the school year 2020/2021, I plan to continue in the Borský Mikuláš primary school anyway. Even before the pandemic, I planned to try a modeling course at the same time in the Šaštín-Stráže primary school, but due to the current situation and measures around it, it will be easier to continue only with the already established teaching in Borský Mikuláš. Modeling circle in Šaštín-Stráže probably in the school year 2021/2022.

Finally, I add a few photos of young modelers. I am looking forward to them and I hope that in the future more and more young people will enjoy this beautiful hobby.
